Thompson holds off late HCV push for 57-53 win

Thompson’s Gavin Oster dropped 18 first half points to get the Tommies off to a hot start, including starting the game on a 10-0 run. Hillsboro/Central Valley’s Bryce Miller added 13 in the first half to pace the Burros.

Tommies Point Guard Joe Taylor went on a run of three straight possessions with no-look pass assists to extend their 3rd quarter lead.

The game remained tied at 53 in the 4th quarter for several minutes before Taylor iced the game with free throws.

Thompson moves to 3-0 within Region 2A and HCV drops to 0-2 in region play.
