CLIMAX, MN – Following the team’s 3-1 loss against the NCE/U-H Titans on Thursday, Climax-Fisher Knights head coach knew her team had to be focused and aggressive facing off against the Kelliher-Northome Mustangs on Monday night.

The Knights (9-7) had a hard fought first two sets, with seven ties in the first set and eleven in the second, but were able to pull away in the third set to nab their ninth win of the season in three straight sets over the Mustangs (6-4 in non-tournament play), 25-22, 25-20, 25-12.

Seventh grader Peyton Hoffman and junior Halle Reitmeier led the Knights with 11 kills and 6 kills each. Junior setter Sophia Nesvig did a tremendous job throughout the night setting up Hoffman, Reitmeier, and the rest of her teammates, while also getting a couple kills and an ace serve of her own.

For the Mustangs, Junior Ella Thayer and freshman Kylie Binkley had 5 kills and 4 kills each to lead the team. Freshman Kate Thayer also had two kills and an ace serve.

For the Knights, they will face off against the Mahnomen-Waubun Thunderbirds on YourLiveEvent.com on Tuesday night. The Mustangs will be taking on the Nevis Tigers on October 17th!
