Lake Park-Audubon at Mahnomen-Waubun

Recap

It was an overtime thriller and a Lake Park Audubon win over Mahnomen Waubun 69-63.  The Raiders were able to build a 10 point lead twice in the game only to see the THunderbirds cut that lead each time.  After Mahnomen Waubun would build a lead late in the 2nd half of 5 points, the Raiders would hit some free throws to cut the lead to 3 with time winding down.  Mahnomen Waubun would miss a free throw allowing the Raiders to get the rebound and a last second shot opportunity.  Luca Beske would toss up a desperation 3 at the buzzer that would go in to tie the game at 56 to end regulation.  In the overtime session LPA would come out and hit a 3 to start along with a free throw to build a 4 point lead and eventually would grow to 8 points.  Mahnomen Waubun would come back with a 3 and a steal to cut the lead to 3, but LPA would make important free throws to close the game out.  LPA is now 5-5 while Mahnomen Waubun falls to 3-5.
