Lake Park-Audubon at Mahnomen-Waubun

Recap

In a marathon match the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds came from behind in set 5 to get a 3-2 win over Lake Park Audubon 25-23, 25-19, 11-25, 10-25, 15-12.  It was a game of momentum that saw the Thunderbirds grab it early winning for the first 2 set after several ties throughout, but service runs would give them a 2-0 advantage in the match.  The Raiders would take the momentum back in sets 3 and 4 thanks in part to big service runs, and their hitters would start to find the holes to win the sets by large margins.  THe 5th set would see LPA grab the early lead at 8-2.  Mahnomen Waubun would use some service runs to pull the set back with in reach.  The Radiers would have some hitting errors and the Thunderbirds would tie the set at 12-12.  It would be a scrappy end as each volley would be back and forth, but some well placed balls and some Raider errors would give Mahnomen Waubun the win.  The Thunderbirds are now 5-8 while LPA falls to 6-6.
