Jack Romfo pitched a two-hit shutout as Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich blanked Thompson 10-0 in five innings Friday in Thompson.

The Cardinals scored four runs in the opening inning, three in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.  First baseman Dawson Hein hit three doubles and drove in five runs for LAEM.  Hein’s first double drove in two runs in the first inning rally and his second came with the bases loaded in the second inning.

Brody Gibson started for Thompson and took the loss, allowing seven runs in two innings.
