BBB Laporte at Climax-Fisher

Climax-Fisher broke open a tie game with a 13-3 run late in the first half and then stormed to a 93-58 victory over Laporte Thursday night in Fisher.

Tyler Evitts scored 28 points with teammate Gabe Wentzel adding 24 as the Knights improved to 2-0 on the new season.  Climax-Fisher also forced 37 Laporte turnovers and converted many of those into baskets late in the first half to spark their rally.

Both teams collected 32 rebounds…with the difference being 18 offensive boards for the Knights, while the Wildcats managed just 4 offensive rebounds.

Jacob Smith scored 18 points and Zack Honer 17 for the Wildcats (0-1).

Laporte made 15 of 24 free throws, while Climax-Fisher was 6 of 10 from the stripe.

The Climax-Fisher boys play their first game of the season in Climax Tuesday night, when the Knights host Park Christian.
