The Kindred Vikings and the Lisbon Broncos battled Friday night in a meeting of undefeated teams. The Broncos outscored their opponents in the first two weeks by a combined 56-0. In this matchup, Kindred nearly put the same scoreline on the Broncos in one game, dominating from start to finish in a 48-0 rout.

The Vikings scored on their first three possessions, taking advantage of two Lisbon punts and a fumble to score three rushing touchdowns. Senior quarterback, Jake Starcevic, added two and classmate Kylan Swenson one, with a pair of extra points, to make it 20-0 late in the first quarter.

Fellow senior, Hunter Bindas, added two more touchdowns off a pick-six and a 19-yard reception, with two more extra points, to make it 34-0 at the half. The Vikings added two more rushing touchdowns and extra points in the second half, one each by Swenson and backup quarterback, Gabe Whipple, to reach that 48-0 final.

The Vikings have tallied nearly 900 rushing yards over the first three games of the season. In a losing effort, Lisbon’s starting junior quarterback, Jordyn Bittner, tossed his first two interceptions of the season. Bittner led the Broncos in rushing with just 29 yards. Lisbon senior, Lincoln Adair, led all receivers with 74 yards.

Kindred (3-0/1-0) looks to stay undefeated as they travel to Hillsboro/Central Valley next week while Lisbon (2-1/0-1) will look to get back on track when they host Central Cass.
