Mahnomen/Waubun at Ada-Borup-West

After a back and forth first half the Ada-Borup-West Cougars took the lead early after halftime and eventually put enough space between themselves and the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds to hold on for the 56-50 victory. Neither team would trail by more then four points in the first half with the Thunderbirds taking a 26-25 lead into halftime. A pair of early triples by the Cougars made the score 33-30  with the Cougars leading the rest of the game. Seven made three-pointers by the Cougars helped them overcome their disparity in turnovers and free throw attempts with them building a double digit lead in the final minutes before the Thunderbirds cut into the lead with a late comeback attempt. The Cougars are now 11-8 and have three more games scheduled for this week with the DGF Rebels being next up on Tuesday night. The Thunderbirds fall to 12-8overall and will travel to Park Rapids Area on Tuesday.

Ada-Borup-West wins the JV game (70-45), and C-Team game (41-37).
