Mahnomen/Waubun at Cass Lake-Bena

The Cass Lake Bena Panthers used a 13-0 run midway through the 1st half and stellar defense to pull away from the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds for a 46-29 win in the Section 8A tournament.  after a slow start for both teams shooting the ball, the Panthers would go on a 13-0 run after being down 6-4 and would take the lead for good.  Mahnomen Waubun would struggle shooting the ball along with turnovers due in part to the tight defense the Panthers provided.  with the win the Panthers will advance in the Section 8A tournament at 16-11 on the year while Mahnomen Waubun will end their season at 10-17 graduating 4 seniors.
