East Grand Forks, MN — The Sacred Heart Eagles beat the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds 83-58 in girls basketball on Thursday night.

The first half would see back and forth action and a tightly contested game but it was an 11-0 run for Sacred Heart that gave them a 42-32 lead into halftime. The Eagles would control the second half as the deficit was never less then double figures en route to their 83-58 win.

Sacred Heart improves to 9-2 on the year with the win and will play Stephen/Argyle at home on Monday. Mahnomen/Waubun drops their second game in a row and falls to 4-8 overall on the year. The Thunderbirds will play Friday at NCE/U-H.
