BBB Mahnomen-Waubun at Fosston

The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds had four players enter double figures as they held on to defeat the Fosston Greyhounds 69-61 Monday night in Fosston. Carter Clark led the Thunderbirds with 20 points as Mahnomen/Waubun improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Bradan Melina, Brody Lhotka and Anthony Thompson each scored 13 points for the Thunderbirds.

Trevor Vig scored 20 points and Will Christen added 19 points and 13 rebounds for Fosston as the Greyhounds fall to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Greyhounds cut the deficit to two points three times in the second but couldn’t take the lead. The two teams combined for 17 three pointers with Mahnomen/Waubun hitting ten 3’s and Fosston seven triples.
