The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds used a balance offensive attack of run and pass to amass over 500 yards of total offense and defeat Polk County West 47-13.  The Thunderbirds ate up big chunks of yards on the ground, and then would go to the air which would result in 5 touchdowns.  The Thunder defense would put Mahnomen Waubun into 4th down situations on 5 different occasions, but could not get the stop they needed to swing the momentum, and PCWs offense would struggle to find any consistency which would make for a ling night.  Mahnomen Waubun moves to 2-0 while PCW falls to 0-2.
