Mahnomen-Waubun at Polk County West (EGF)

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds stayed undefeated with a 35-0 win over Polk County West.  The Thunder did not make it easy for the Thunderbirds as the PCW defense did an excellent job of shutting down the high powered offense of Mahnomen Waubun for nearly 3 quarters, but with injuries taking the toll on PCW Mahnomen Waubun was able to break some big plays to pull away as the game went on.  Mahnomen Waubuns defense was equally stout shutting out PCW despite the Thunder having the ball in the red zone on 3 separate occasions in the 2nd half.  With the win Mahnomen Waubun is now 6-0 while Polk County West falls to 2-4.
