Mahnomen/Waubun vs. Deer River

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds are headed back to US Bank Stadium after a State Quarterfinal victory over Deer River 14-6.  The Thunderbirds used a heavy dose of the ground attack eating up clock and yards, while Deer River found success through the air, but missed a couple of opportunities in the red zone due to a bend but dont break defensive effort from the Thunderbirds.  Mahnomen Waubun will advance to play Springfield for the 2nd consecutive year in the State Semi Finals with a record of 11-0 while Deer River ends their season at 9-2.
