Recap

North Dakota Girls Basketball

A Maple River Raider 15-0 run over the final minutes of the first quarter into the beginning of the second quarter opened a double digit lead for the Raiders on their way to the 61-40 win over the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros. That run helped put the Raiders up 29-15 at the half, and a three-pointer on the first possession after halftime ignited the Raider offense for a 19-point quarter. The Burros had their runs in the game but turnovers limited the opportunities to score and cut into the margin.

Maple River is now 5-2 overall and will travel to face MayPort-C-G on Saturday and Griggs-Midkota on Monday. Hillsboro/Central Valley falls to 2-5 and will face Carrington on Tuesday and Larimore on Thursday of next week.

Maple River wins the JV game 40-32.
