Violet Richman scored 12 of her game high 24 points in the fourth quarter as Maple River rallied to beat Hillsboro/Central Valley 53-49 Friday night in Hillsboro.

The Raiders got off to a 9-0 start, but HCV would go ahead after a wild second quarter that had 4 ties and 5 lead changes.  The Burros led 28-24 at halftime and 42-39 after 3 quarters.

HCV suffered a setback early in the 4th quarter when Paityn Olson fouled out with 5:55 to play.  Olson led the Burros with 16 points.  Maple River tied the game at 47 with 4:25 to play as Richman made an acrobatic basket, was fouled and hit the free throw.  Richman hit 2 more free throws with 4 minutes to play to give the Raiders a lead they would hold.

Maple River (2-2) travels to MayPort-CG on Monday.  HCV hosts Carrington on Monday.
