Tommies sweep Patriots at home

Thompson improves to 13-1 overall and 4-1 in Region 2 after handling MayPort-CG in 3 sets. The Tommies put away set 1 by going on a 12-0 run after being tied at 9-9. Set 2 saw Paetyn Strand and May-Port CG go on a 8-0 run, but Abigail Olson and the Tommies cancelled it out, immediately going on a 7-0 run themselves. Lisa Strand decided not to take timeouts despite several Patriots runs and let her squad figure it out on the fly. Set 3 went to Thompson 25-21 to end a quick match.

Thompson travels to Grafton next Tuesday attempting to redeem themselves against the only opponent to beat them this year, while May-Port CG will host Central Cass that same night.
