MN Section 8A Football Championship Game

Recap

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds played one of their best games of the season enroute to a 32-0 win over the Red Lake County Rebels and repeat as the Section 8A champions.  The Thunderbirds used solid ball control all evening long with long drives that would eat up the clock, and a defense that held the Rebel offense to just 53 yards of total offense all night.  Red Lake County struggled to find any offensive rythm all night, which would lead to several 3 and outs.  Mahnomen Waubun will move on to the state quarter finals with a record of 9-1 while Red Lake County will end their season at 8-3.
