MN State Class A Consolation Semifinal Fosston vs Walker-Hackensack-Akeley

The Walker-Hackensack-Akeley-Wolves advanced to the Consolation Championship with 58-52 overtime win over the Fosston Greyhounds. Aubrey Morrison led the Wolves with 27 points as W-H-A improves to 25-7 overall. Brynlea Mahlen and Lexi Mahlen each scored 21 points for Fosston as the Greyhounds end their season at 29-4. Brynlea Mahlen fouled out with 36 remaining in overtime and the Wolves hit some big throws down the stretch. W-H-A led 30-22 at halftime but the Greyhounds took a 36-35 lead with 8:14 left in the game. The Greyhounds built a six point lead at 43-37 but the rallied to tie the game at 44-44.Ava Welk added 17 points and 12 rebounds for W-H-A.
