ND Reg 2A GBB Grafton vs Four Winds/Minnewaukan

Grafton rallied from an 8 point second quarter deficit to defeat Four Winds-Minnewaukan 62-46 in the opening round of the North Dakota Class A Region 2 girls basketball tournament Monday at Mayville State University.

The Spoilers made 59 percent of their shots in the second half, while holding Four Winds-Minnewaukan to 26.9 percent shooting.  Grafton also outrebounded the Lady Indians 42-18.

Senior Kate LeClerc scored 24 points to lead the Spoilers (9-13) with Savannah Blackcloud adding 10.

Freshman Suri Gourd scored 32 points for Four Winds-Minnewaukan (5-17) with Cailee Hanson scoring 11.

Grafton will take on top seed and defending Class A State Champion Devils Lake Tuesday afternoon at Mayville State.
