The Thompson Tommies took early command of their ND Division A Region Two Girls Basketball Quarterfinal against Hillsboro/Central Valley, toppling the Burros for the second time in two weeks with a 65-37 victory.

The Tommies got out to a 7-0 run to start the game, leading 19-13 after the first eight minutes. Outside of Paityn Olson’s nine points, the Tommies shut out the Burros in the second quarter, outscoring HCV 20-9 to take a 39-22 halftime lead. Thompson outscored HCV in the third quarter, 19-8, and both teams scored seven in the final eight minutes to close out the contest.

Addison Sage and Kya Hurst led the Tommies with 19 and 13 points respectively. Olson led the Burros with 13.

Thompson improves to 18-4 with the victory, moving them into the semifinals against Carrington. HCV ends their season at 10-12.
