The Pillager Huskies’ offense was humming right out of the gate as they cruised to an 86-45 win over a shorthanded New York Mills team in Park Region Play.

Pillager scored the first 15 points with guys knocking down shots from all over the floor as they built a 57-22 halftime lead. The Huskies made eight of their 13 3-point shots in the first half with five different players connecting from long range. The defense was stout as well, forcing 11 Eagles’ turnovers.

Pillager went deeper into bench in the second half as they maintained the hefty advantage, and eleven of the fifteen varsity players scored to help the Huskies sweep the Eagles for the third straight season.

Christian Hooge led five double-figure scorers for Pillager with 17. Gabe Parrish had 15, Imdieke added 12 along with four assists, Aaron Peterson had 11 and Alex Brandt pitched in 10. Bergan Roder led New York Mills with 13.

Pillager moves to 12-7 over all and 9-2 in the PRC while New York Mills falls to 6-12, 5-6.
