Bagley, MN — The Bagley Flyers picked up their fourth straight victory Tuesday night, defeating the NCE/U-H Titans 3-1.

The Flyers looked sharp early in the opening set, taking a slight edge before things unraveled with a series of errors that allowed the Titans to move in front 7-6. From that point on, Bagley never regained the lead. A 5-0 NCE/U-H run extended the deficit to 17-8, and the Titans appeared in full control at 24-13. However, Elexis Soderstrom sparked life into the Flyers with an impressive 8-0 service run to pull within striking distance, but the Titans finally closed it out 25-21.

Set two was tightly contested throughout. Bagley built a 13-9 lead, prompting a Titans timeout, and maintained momentum to go up 15-10 before NCE/U-H rallied with a 7-3 stretch to make it 18-17, forcing a Bagley timeout. The set saw four ties and three lead changes before the Titans briefly moved ahead 21-20. Bagley responded with a decisive 5-0 burst to take set two 25-21 and even the match.

In sets three and four, the Flyers controlled the pace, maintaining slim but steady leads while never allowing the Titans to mount a serious scoring run. Bagley closed out the match with set wins of 25-17 and 25-18 to secure the 3-1 victory.

With the win, Bagley improves to 11-10 on the season and will host Lake Park-Audubon on Thursday. NCE/U-H falls to 3-20 and will wrap up their regular season next Tuesday at home against Mahnomen/Waubun.
