Climax-Fisher served 12 aces en route to their fifth straight victory Thursday night, defeating Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal 25-21, 25-11, 25-7 in Climax.

Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal had 4 blocks in the opening set, but weren’t able to shake off Climax-Fisher.  In the second set, Claire Erickson served 4 aces as the Knights raced to a 10-1 lead…and Brooklyn Hoffman had 8 kills in the second set as Climax-Fisher won 25-11.  Then in set 3, the Knights went on a 9-2 run on their way to a 25-7 victory to take the match in 3 straight sets.

Unofficially, Climax-Fisher (9-7) had 32 kills, 2 blocks, 12 aces and 8 service errors. Peyton Hoffman had 14 kills and 2 blocks for the Knights, with younger sister Brooklyn Hoffman adding 11 kills and 2 aces. Claire Erickson also had a strong game with 8 kills and 5 aces, and Lucy Paulsrud served 4 aces.

Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (1-13) unofficially had 10 kills, 5 blocks, 2 aces and one service error. Olivia Theis had 3 kills for the Titans, with Tess Anderson adding 2 kills, 1.5 blocks and an ace and Sydney Martin one kill and 2.5 blocks.

Climax-Fisher hosts Crookston Friday afternoon at 4:30 in Climax.  NCE/U-H is off until Monday, when they travel to Rothsay.
