Brydin Daniel and Jakob Rudie each ran for two touchdowns as the Greyhounds opened their season with a 37-8 win over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal. The Greyhounds led 8-0 after the first quarter and led 22-8 at halftime. Daniel scored his touchdowns on runs of 28 and 40 yards while Rudie scored on runs of 2 and 13 yards. Darien Holzer caught two passes for 68 yards for Fosston and also intercepted a pass. Rudie had an interception and a fumble recovery for Fosston. Gabe Fain scored the lone touchdown for the Titans when he caught an 18 yard touchdown pass from Hayden Haspel with nine seconds remaining in the first half. Axel Kjono carried the ball 19 times for 72 yards for NCE/U-H while Brydin Daniel had 96 yards on 11 carries for Fosston. The Greyhounds start their season at 1-0 and will play their next game on Friday, September 5th when they host the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies (1-1) at Thompson Field in Fosston (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Titans are off until Friday, September 12th when they travel to the Northern Freeze. The Titans fall to 0-2 with the loss to Fosston. The two teams combined for 17 penalties with Fosston having 9 penalties for 90 yards and the Titans 8 penalties for 75 yards.
