Erskine, MN – The Win-E-Mac Patriots bounced back from a tough five-set loss on Monday by defeating the NCE/U-H Titans 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The Patriots came out tight in the opening set, and NCE/U-H took advantage. After a 4-0 run gave the Titans a 7-5 edge, they kept Win-E-Mac chasing. The Patriots briefly tied the set at 11-11 and again at 14-14, but NCE/U-H closed strong, outscoring Win-E-Mac 11-2 to take the first set 25-16.

Set two turned into a battle, featuring nine ties and five lead changes. The Titans held a late 22-21 lead, but the Patriots dug in and rattled off the final four points to even the match with a 25-22 win.

From there, it was all Win-E-Mac. The Patriots built an early five-point cushion in the third set and fended off several Titan rallies to secure a 25-17 victory. In the fourth, Win-E-Mac again controlled the pace, never trailing on their way to a 25-18 win to seal the match.

With the victory, the Patriots improve to 2-7 on the season and will travel to Fertile-Beltrami on Thursday. NCE/U-H falls to 1-9 and will host Lake Park-Audubon the same night.
