GBB Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at Ada-Borup-West

Ada-Borup-West’s ( ABW) Lady Cougar basketball team enters the Christmas break with a five game win streak following their 66-27 win over Norman County East-Ulen-Hitterdal ( NCEUH) Tuesday night.  The Cougars had four players in double figures ,  led by Morgan Engel’s 26 points and 14 rebounds. The Cougars increased a 37-18 halftime lead with the Titans scoring only nine points in the second half.  The Cougars had a season low 15 turnovers to improve their overall record to 5-2.  The Titans are now 3-5 and will play East Grand Forks Sacred Heart Thursday night.

Ada-Borup-West stats:   15 turnovers, 29 rebounds, 17 of 20 free throws

Scoring:  Alex Tinjum 4 (5 assists) Izzy Marcussen 15 , Morgan Smart 11, Morgan Engel 26 ( 14 rebounds) Malayna Syverson 10 ( 8 rebounds)  Brielle Engelstad ( 5 rebounds)

NCEUH stats:  22 turnovers, 21 rebounds, 7 of 12 free throws
