Mahnomen Waubun build a 24 point lead midway through the 2nd half and then had to rely on offensive execution and defense to hold on for a 61-59 win over NCE-UH.  The Thunderbirds played extremely well for about 30 minutes of the game, but the Titans would heat up at the 6 minute remaining mark to cut the 24 point lead and eventually tie the game at 54,with 2 more ties at 56 and 58.  The Titans used the hot shooting of Axel Kjono who came in midway through the 2nd half and knocked down 5 three pointers to get the Titans back in the game.  Mahnomen Waubun was able to execute on offense in some crucial moments and hit some big free throws to not allow the Titans to ever take the lead and hold on for the win.  Mahnomen Waubun has now won 3 in a row and sit at 4-6 while NCE-UH is now 7-5.
