Boys Basketball — Fertile-Beltrami 56 vs. NCE/U-H 67

Fertile, MN — The NCE/U-H Titans picked up a nice early season victory on Thursday night after beating the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons 67-56.

The Titans were able to build and early 7-0 lead to force Fertile-Beltrami to play catch up and that is what they did all night long as Fertile-Beltrami never led versus the Titans and the deficit was teetering on double digits all night. NCE/U-H led 32-23 at the half and made an 18-9 run to start the second half taking their largest lead of the game 50-32. The deficit would prove to be too much for the rest of the game as Fertile-Beltrami would cut the lead to eight points but would never get any closer and lose 67-56.

With the victory NCE/U-H is now 2-0 on the season and will play next Tuesday at home versus Lake Park-Audubon. For Fertile-Beltrami, they drop to 1-1 and will be in action again next Thursday when they host the Fosston Greyhounds.
