North Dakota State Class B Girls Basketball Consolation Semifinals – Thompson vs Garrison

Kya Hurst scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds Friday as Thompson advanced to the North Dakota Class B State Girls Basketball title game with a 55-50 victory over Garrison.

The Tommies and Troopers were tied five times and the lead changed five times in the game…with Thompson ahead 23-22 at intermission.  Thompson never let Garrison catch up and will now play Central Cass in Saturday’s State B Championship game in Minot.

Clara Stevens scored 11 points and Brenna Martin ten for Thompson, as the Tommies won their eighth in a row and improved to 24-2 on the season.

Karli Klein and Kaitlyn Zook scored 14 points apiece for Garrison, with Mia Gehring adding ten.  The Troopers are now 23-3 on the year and will play Rugby in Saturday night’s third place game.
