North Dakota State Class B Girls Basketball Quarterfinals: #4 Kenmare/Bowbells vs #5 Garrison

Garrison 45, Kenmare-Bowbells 33

Garrison and Kenmare-Bowbells were tied at halftime of their State Class B Girls Basketball quarterfinal Thursday.  But the Troopers stormed ahead in the third quarter and defeated the Honkers 45-33 in Minot.

Mia Gehring scored 16 points for Garrison, the fifth seed in the state tournament, with Cara Schlehr and Karli Klein adding ten apiece.  Schlehr also had eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Kate Zimmer scored 11 points for Kenmare-Bowbells.  The Honkers are now 22-3 on the season and will play Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier in the consolation round Friday afternoon.

Garrison is now 23-2 on the year and over the last week has defeated three teams ranked in the Class B girls basketball media poll: #5 Shiloh Christian, #7 Central McLean and #2 Kenmare-Bowbells.  The Troopers will face #1 seed Thompson Friday night in the semifinals.
