FB Northern Freeze at Fosston

Quarterback Jakob Rudie ran for 126 yards and threw for two touchdowns as the Greyhounds won their homecoming game 41-13 over the Northern Freeze. Rudie scored on a 10 yard run and also recovered a fumble in the end zone for another score. Rudie connected on a 9 yard touchdown pass to Dawson Bailie and also threw a 20 yard touchdown pass to Brodie Sather. Ryne Duppong rushed for 88 yards and scored two touchdowns for Fosston as the 9th ranked Greyhounds improve to 5-0 overall. Jakob Manteufel was 5 for 6 on extra point attempts for Fosston. Sawyer Torgerson scored both touchdowns for the Freeze as they fall to 0-5 overall. One of Torgerson’s touchdowns came on a 95 yard kick return late in the first half. Fosston led 7-0 after the first quarter, 35-6 at halftime and 41-6 after three quarters. The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, October 4th when they travel to Moorhead to take on the Park Christian Falcons (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Falcons are 4-1 after a 50-24 win over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River on Friday night. The Northern Freeze will play their next game on Friday, October 4th when they host the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies in Newfolden.
