Climax-Fisher’s girls basketball team opened its season with a 49-36 loss to the Northern Freeze Monday night in Fisher.

Northern Freeze scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed.  Senior Rylie Klopp scored 15 points for the team from Marshall County Central and Tri-County.  Teammates Ada Pearson and Emma Nelson added 11 apiece….as first year coach Jason Skadsem got his first win as Northern Freeze coach.

Eighth-grader Peyton Hoffman scored 17 points to lead the Knights.  Climax-Fisher was troubled by turnovers, committing 22 on the night.

Northern Freeze (1-1) is off until next Monday, when they travel to Badger-Greenbush-Middle River.

Climax-Fisher (0-1) plays at Lake Park-Audubon Tuesday night.
