The Oakes Tornadoes controlled the time of possession in the game with over 200 yards rushing on offense and four takeaways on defense to defeat the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros 33-0. Oakes would score first on a 14-play drive that covered 84 yards in the first quarter to take the lead on the first of Andrew Rosendahl’s three touchdown runs in the game. Hillsboro/Central Valley started to drive down the first on the next possession but a fumble near the edge of the redzone gave the ball right back to Oakes. The Tornadoes would take advantage of three Burro turnovers to score three times in the second quarter, first on a Mathias Dahlstrom Interception returned for a touchdown, a one-play 53-yard touchdown drive on a pass from David Bakke to Brody Moore, and Rosendahl’s second touchdown run of the game to lead 26-0 in the final minutes of the first half. Oakes averaged over 6-yards per rush in the game to control possession and the game. In the fourth-quarter Rosendahl would break free on 4th down for a 42-yard touchdown run to wrap of the scoring.

Oakes in now 1-1 on the season and will host MayPort-C-G next Friday while the Burros drop to 0-3 and will travel to play Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm next Friday.
