WAHPETON, ND – Oakes picked up a 59-44 win over Richland in the District 1 boys basketball quarterfinals on Friday afternoon.

Eddie Garza finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds while Jyles Meier added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Oakes. The Tornadoes will play Maple River in the semifinals on Monday at 6 p.m.
