Park Christian at Ada-Borup-West

A three-pointer with less than six seconds remaining capped a 7-0 run to end the game for the Park Christian Falcons in their 65-62 win over the Ada-Borup-West Cougars. The game was a back and forth battle throughout with 16 lead changes and neither team holding a double-digit lead in at any point in the game. The Cougars three-point shooting, seven made 3-pt shots, and the the Falcons advantage in rebounding, +16 in the game, were key reasons each team was able to hang around. Midway through the second half the Falcons had gone up by eight points before a Cougar 12-2 run, ignited by a dunk and blocked shot on the next possession, but the Cougars ahead 59-57 with less than three minutes to play. After a Falcon free throw made it a one-point game a Cougar three-pointer stretched it back to four. The Falcons were then able to execute on both ends down the stretch, picking up defensive stops with picking up second chance points from their offensive rebounding to score on three straight possessions to take a 65-62 lead with 5.8 seconds remaining. The Falcons tipped a pass on the Cougars final possession which didn’t allow the Cougars a shot to tie the game for the Falcons to gain the road victory.

Park Christian is now 9-2 overall with their next game coming on Thursday as they go on the road to face Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal. The Cougars fall to 5-5 overall and will travel to Lake Park Audubon on Thursday night. Park Christian wins the C-Team game 53-44. Ada-Borup-West wins the JV game 51-42.
