Park Christian vs Fertile-Beltrami

Fertile, MN — The Park Christian Falcons Girls Basketball Team defeated the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons 62-56 on Monday night.

The first eighteen minutes of the game were clunky for both teams. Offenses were out of sorts, defense wasn’t in great positioning, and when both teams had wide open layup attempts they could not capitalize. With all of that happening it was Park Christian who led 23-19 in a low scoring first half. Fertile-Beltrami led only once during Monday nights game and it came at around the 11 minute mark of the second half 39-38. Their advantage was extremely short lived as Park Christian sank a pair of free throws on the next possession and never looked back after that going on a 13-3 scoring run to put enough distance between them and Fertile-Beltrami and close out the 62-56 win.

Park Christian is now 13-6 on the season and will travel to #7 ranked Mayer Lutheran on Friday. Fertile-Beltrami falls to 14-6 on the season and will play Blackduck on Friday at Bemidji State University.
