After an extra inning nail biter in game one, the complete opposite transpired in game two as the Pequot Lakes Patriots claimed the sweep over Park Rapids with a five-inning mercy rule victory.
After a very quick first inning, the Patriots put together back-to-back big crooked numbers. Pequot Lakes batted ten and scored six in the bottom of the second, then followed that with batting around again in the third scoring four.
Caden Nelson made quick work of the Panthers in the fourth and fifth to seal the win for the Patriots.
Pequot Lakes has won six straight vs. Park Rapids, and improved to 2-4 on the year, 2-2 in Mid State Conference Play. Park Rapids falls to 3-3 overall and in the conference.
