Pequot Lakes at Foley

A 23-0 first half run proved to be the difference in the Pequot Lakes’ 68-48 victory over Foley in their Granite Ridge Conference rematch.
Foley used a 6-0 spurt to tie the game at 11 about four minutes into the contest. Pequot Lakes caught fire on both ends with tough defense and hot shooting to score 23 unanswered points to push the score to 34-11 until Foley scored a couple of free throws. The 23 point streak was the difference at the half with the Patriots leading 40-17.
Foley hung tough and Pequot Lakes got a bit sloppy in the second half, but the margin remained relatively unchanged as the Patriots cruised to their 15th straight win and improved to 8-0 in the series versus Foley.
Gus McKenna hit four from behind the arc on his way to a game-high 19. Will Broskovetz scored 14 off the bench for the Patriots and Blake Spiczka was also in double figures with 11 to go along with four assists. The Patriots improved to 22-1 on the year with three regular season games left and clinched at least a share of the Granite Ridge title at 10-0.
