Pequot Lakes at Pillager

Pillager snapped a 6-game losing streak to Pequot Lakes with a big Section 6AA 4-2 victory.

The Huskies struck first with an unearned run in the bottom of the opening inning. Pequot Lakes took a brief 2-1 lead as pitcher Georgia James delivered a 2-run single scoring June Ruud & Emma Spiczka. Pillager responded immediately with a pair in the bottom of the third. Lauren Anderson collected an RBI single scoring courtesy runner Breauna Ailts after a wild pitch sent Hunter Woidyla across to tie the game.

In the bottom of the sixth, Pillager tacked on an insurance run as Bailey Rudrud beat out a throw for a RBI infield single scoring Woidyla.

It’s the first Pillager win over the Patriots since 2017, and they both now have a record of 9-10.
