This game was anything but pretty, but it was a hard fought contest between the Thunder and Cougars for Ada Borup West’s home opener.  Both coaches spoke to wanting to clean up turnovers in the game, but turnovers made the game interesting on this night.  Ada Borup West scored the games first points on a fumble, after a fumble.  Caspar Kritzberger picked up a loose ball and sprinted 65 yards for a scoop and score touchdown.  The extra point kick from Braeden Bueng made it 7-0 after the first quarter.  Polk County West scored their only touchdown in the second quarter when Jace Motl capped off a nine play drive with a two yard touchdown run, but the two point conversion failed.  7-6 was the halftime score, and neither team had much room to budge in the second half.  Polk County West had a drive stall late in the game, and they lined up for a 25 yard field goal try by Liam Larson, but it was short and Ada Borup West would hang on to run out the clock.  Polk County West committed 7 turnovers in the game, 4 INT’s and 3 lost fumbles, while Ada Borup West lost one fumble in the game.
