Jasmyn German, Ava Merta and Kambria Thompson all scored hat tricks as Northern Lakes lit up Prairie Center in their first meeting of the season.

The Lightning struck for eight goals in the first period as they methodically dissected the Blue Devils defense. The onslaught continued as the Lightning outscored Prairie Center 5-1 in the second period and added five more goals in the third.

Northern Lakes outshot Prairie Center 47-11 in the penalty-free contest and secured their 15th straight victory in the series.

The Lightning are now 3-5 on the year and will host Pine City Area Thursday night. Prairie Center falls to 1-6.
