GBB Red Lake County Central at Fosston

The Fosston Greyhounds never trailed as they defeated the Red Lake County Central Mustangs 54-30 at the Fosston Gym. The Greyhounds held the Mustangs scoreless for the first 5:28 of the game and jumped out to a 7-0 lead. Fosston closed the first half on a 11-2 run and took a 21-7 lead into halftime. Brynlea Mahlen led the Greyhounds with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Fosston improved to 7-0 overall. Lexi Mahlen pitched in 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Greyhounds. Mckaelyn Frizzle came off the bench to lead RLCC with 10 points and 8 rebounds as the Mustangs fall to 1-6 overall. The Greyhounds will play at undefeated Park Christian on Tuesday night (1480-AM/99.7 FM) while the Mustangs will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Warren-Alvarado-Oslo. RLCC won the “B” Squad game over Fosston 59-31.
