Red Lake Co Central 3 Mahnomen-Waubun 0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-13)

The Red Lake County Central Mustangs came to play in the opening round of the East Sub Section of Section 8A with a win over Mahnomen Waubun 3-0.  The Thunderbirds got off to a fast start in the 1st set building an early lead, but after a Mustang rally to tie the opening set and eventually go on for the win, the wind was taken out of the Thunderbird sails.  RLCC played scrappy picking up every hit that the Thunderbirds hit at them, keeping the Thunderbirds off balance and finding the wholes in Mahnomen Waubun defense.  From tht point on the momentum stayed on the side of RLCC as they would cruise to the set 2 and 3 wins and the match win.  RLCC is now 6-19 and will play Ada-Borup-West on Wednesday, Mahnomen Waubun ends their season at 8-19 graduating 5 seniors.
