The 9 seed Red Lake Falls Eagles traveled to Fertile-Beltrami on Monday evening for a pigtail round matchup with the 8 seeded Falcons Monday evening. The first half was a close contest with the Falcons leading 25-23. In the second half the Falcons would eventually pull away for a ten point victory 52-42.

Shandi Nelson for Red Lake Falls led all scorers in the game with 24 points. For Fertile Beltrami they were led by Sidney Erickson off the bench in scoring with 11 points. She was the only double figure scorer for the Falcons, as they got contributions from everyone.

Next up for Fertile-Beltrami is a Quarter final matchup against the number 1 seed on the west side of the Section 8A bracket Kittson County Central.
