Red Lake Falls at Fertile-Beltrami

Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons picked up a hard fought win for their first win of the season over the Red Lake Falls Eagles on Tuesday night 54-49.

The Falcons got out to an early 12-6 lead in the first half and led until an offensive lull and Red Lake Falls run put the Eagles in good position and tied the game at half 28-28. The second half started sloppy between the two teams with four consecutive turnovers. Fertile-Beltrami held a slight lead but it was Red Lake Falls controlling the scoreboard for most of the half up until the last few minutes where the Falcons would take a 51-49 lead and eventually win 54-49.

Fertile-Beltram is now 1-1 on the Season and will host the Win E Mac Patriots next Monday. Red Lake Falls begins their new season 0-2 and will play the Crookston Pirates next week.
