Region 1 Girls Basketball Championship – Northern Cass vs Valley City

Northern Cass is heading to the State Tournament for the first time since 2005 in girls basketball with a 47-36 win over Valley City in the Division A Region 1 championship.

Haidyn Crockett scored 17 points and Josie Jensen added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the win for Northern Cass.

Katie Burchill and Tesa Olson scored 11 points each for Valley City.

Valley City plays the winner of Carrington/Four Winds-Minnewaukan in a State Qualifier on Saturday at 1 p.m. from Mayville State on yourliveevent.com.

The Jaguars will await the results to find out what seed they’ll be at the Minot State Dome on Thursday, February 29 for the state quarterfinals.
