Region 1 Girls Basketball Tournament Semifinals – #2 Valley City vs #3 Wahpeton

The Valley City Hi-Liners punched their ticket to the Division A Region 1 girls basketball championship with a 62-60 win over Wahpeton on Tuesday night.

Valley City freshman Katie Burchill had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Hi-Liners improved to 17-6 on the season.

Wahpeton junior Scout Woods scored a school record 41 points in the loss for the Huskies. Wahpeton (11-11 overall) plays Kindred for third place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. from the Scheels Center.
