VALLEY CITY, ND – Oakes is heading to the Division B Region 1 Girls Basketball Tournament for the second straight year following a 49-30 win over Tri-State.

Izzy Friedt had 9 points and 13 rebounds for the Tornadoes. Oakes will play LaMoure/Litchville-Marion in the Region 1 quarterfinals from the Jamestown Civic Center on Monday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Tri-State was paced by the 11 points with Shali Laurence.
