Region 2 Baseball Tournament Loser Out – Hatton-Northwood vs Hillsboro-Central Valley

Kaleb Trostad and the Hatton Northwood Thunder faced off against Hillsboro Central Valley and Riley Ricter in the North Dakota Class B Region 2 tournament in Mayville on Monday afternoon. Kaleb Trostad threw five innings allowing three runs (two earned), while his counterpart Riley Richter tossed a complete game allowing four runs. 

Hillsboro Central Valley was the first team to score thanks to Tyson Leshuk and Carter Limke who both reached base and scored. Hatton Northwood responded in the fifth scoring five runs with help thanks to 2 run double by Derek Carpenter and sloppy Burro defense which had two errors (both that reached on errors scored). The Burros scored two more times (once in the 6 and 7)  but that was not enough as the Burros fall to the Chargers 5-4.
